Amid all the football chatter, tonight is also the opening night of volleyball season for many area teams. On the schedule for tonight:
Advance at Meadow Heights
Bunker at Valley (Caledonia)
Cape Central at Woodland
Leopold at Puxico
Oran at Saxony Lutheran
Senath-Hornersville at Clarkton
Zalma at Eagle Ridge Christian School

The Senath-Hornersville-Clarkton game could be pretty close. Not sure how close the other games will be.

Not sure of the times, but I know they are doing pool play again this year with Bell City, Meadow Heights, Oak Ridge, and Zalma starting Monday and Advance, Leopold, Saxony Lutheran, and Woodland beginning Tuesday. I think bracket play starts Thursday and the championship, third place and consolation titles to be played Friday, but don't quote me on that.
I predict Advance, Woodland, Leopold, and Saxony will all easily wins their season openers tonight and all enter the tournament with 1-0 records.
