Farmington beat Jackson 1-0 last night in a pitchers duel. Both teams only managed one hit a piece.
Jackson pitcher Sophie Wunderlich pitched six innings striking out six, allowing an unearned run, one hit, two walks and one hit batsman.
Farmington pitcher Kayla Nash was just a bit better pitching seven innings, no runs, four strike outs, one hit and one hit batsman.
Both pitchers carried no hitters into the bottom of the sixth. A one out walk was followed by a two out single by Nash that was misplayed in the outfield allowing the only run of the game to score. Megan Clippard singled in the top of the 7th for Jackson's only hit but was left stranded.
