With wrestling starting in just over a week I'd like to congratulate and welcome Kennett to the mat! I'd like to see more area schools pick it up as well. Does anyone know if tey are planning to start out with a jv schedule and will they be joining the Semo conference?

Woodsey, I'm excited to see another Semo school like Kennett add wrestling! I'm pretty sure they'll wrestle a varsity schedule as there aren't that many JV tournaments in our area. The Semo Conference is the only game in town so I'm sure Kennett will be part of it too. That's what Notre Dame did when they added wrestling a few years ago. Sometimes there are JV matches along with the varsity matches in duels. I can't wait to see what Kennett brings to the mat!

Yes I had heard they were going to add wrestling too. So now we have Jackson, Farmington, Dexter, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, Cape Central, Notre Dame, Ste. Genevieve, Park Hills Central, NMCC, Kennett, and Valle Catholic (12 schools) that have wrestling programs. I hope more Semo schools continue to add the great sport of wrestling!

I may be wrong, I think that Park Hills dropped out of the SEMO Conference, North County & Windsor is in.

I believe North County is in the SEMO Conference in wrestling. At least they were when Poplar Bluff hosted the conference tournament a couple years ago.
