High School Football Forum: Gridiron Pick'em Week 12

*
Posted by BuckMajor on Tue, Nov 3, 2015, at 1:20 PM:

Third week of playoffs, and we are whittling down the area teams. Most area teams are full on basketball practice right now, but a few are still left in these win or go home scenarios. I will do a pick'em this week, and then next week, and that will be the final pick'em. The winner will be the leader after next week's pick'em. Everyone have fun, good luck, and safe travels this week!

Here are the updated results: http://www.semoball.com/forums/highschoolfootball/thread/9319

Buck, if we're involved in a tie and also predict the score exactly on GOTW do we get 10 bonus points! LOL Price is Right gives bonuses for exact guesses.

Just curious as to why so many picked Malden to blow Cville out? It was a good game the first time they met. I understand Malden has gotten better but so has Cville. I totally get Malden being the favorites to win bc they've won the last 3 meetings but these teams are pretty evenly matched this year. I'm looking forward to a good game on Friday. The winner will have a tough Cardinal Ritter team to contend with. Good luck to all on Friday

  • For week 2, Malden had hardly any current film to study on their main players as they were still suspended from the final game last season. That had to have some impact on the final score. However, this will be a good game.

That makes zero sense. Malden played those guys twice last year so they knew exactly what they brought to the table. We could turn that around and say that was Caruthersville's first game playing with some of their starters and Malden had an extra game to get those early season kinks out. Could it possibly be that maybe, just maybe, they're pretty even this year? I'm looking forward to a close game yet again. Malden is the favorite until they get beat. Which hasn't happened by a SEMO team in 2 years. Should be interesting.
