October 25, 2012 TIGERS 48 East Prairie
A beautiful night at Hopke Field as the Tigers dominated a very, very young East Prairie team in 1st round Class 2 playoff play. This year's playoffs matches the top ranked team from each 8 team district against the 8th ranked team from the district, so there will likely be a lot of lopsided scores throughout the state tonight. The Tiger offensive starters played just one quarter, and the defensive starters were taken out during the 2nd quarter. A classy move by Coach Nathan Morgan and the Tiger coaching staff.
Rather than do a "play by play" summary, I will simply summarize the scoring and then attach the Tiger's statistics. Please take the time to look through the stats and you will see that LOTS of Tigers got their names called tonight...and most of our statistical leaders were underclassmen...including numerous freshmen. Way to go guys!!!

Caruthersville will host the winner of the Scott City/Jefferson game on Wednesday October 31 at 7:00 p.m.. At the time I typed this summary, Scott City was leading 33-19.
The Tigers, now 7-2 on the season, are hoping to return a couple of injured Tigers for the game on Halloween night. Congratulations to the Tigers, and especially all of the underclassmen who performed admirably tonight. The future is bright for the Tigers...but the 2012 season isn't over quite yet!
