  • Yes they will drop back to Class 2 with only 7 success points.

  • Itís unfortunate for them.

  • Its not like Class 3 was doing them any favors..

  • How will Valle be this year compared to the last 2-3 years?

-- Posted by ChiefsKingdom on Fri, Jun 30, 2023, at 5:44 PM
  • I believe as good or better!

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Sun, Jul 2, 2023, at 8:18 AM
  • What makes you say that Noel?

  • I live in Ste. Gen. and I have followed the team for 30 years! They have a great coaching staff and they have great kids!! They just reload every year!! They are the best small school football program in MO. I'm biased of course!!

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Tue, Jul 4, 2023, at 5:12 AM
  • Historically yes. But Lamar is the clear best small school in mo over the past 15 years. I donít even think itís remotely close either. I think one of the most intriguing early season games for playoff time would be Lamar Vs Valle. Will Lamar be 3-0 vs Valle? Or will Valle win their first game against Lamar.

  • I have to agree with Secretagentman... Also you could throw in Webb City. A smaller town playing bigger Class football and dominating for the last 20+ year's. Until recently their enrollment was in the 800's. It's now hovering around 1090..

-- Posted by Ohweeohahaha on Wed, Jul 5, 2023, at 8:26 AM
  • Webb City is too big for this topic. But they edge out Lamar for best program of recent history. They are growing as a town too.

  • Somebody comment on Valle are they really this bad this upcoming season? Usually Valle folks are oh so eager to brag??

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Mon, Aug 14, 2023, at 7:00 AM
  • You sure do worry about Valle alot, be happy they werenít class 2 the last 2 years.

-- Posted by caniplay on Mon, Aug 14, 2023, at 8:59 AM
  • Did Valle only lose one game last

Year? I doubt they will drop to class two, having had that much success.

-- Posted by Sagamore on Mon, Aug 14, 2023, at 9:26 AM
  • Snozzberry, Valle only has 7 success factor points so they will only move up 1 class from their enrollment numbers that will be released in a couple weeks. You can keep track of this on Mshsaa's website. https://www.mshsaa.org/Activities/ChampionshipFactor.aspx?alg=19

-- Posted by grannygg on Tue, Aug 15, 2023, at 4:49 AM
  • Nah, Lamar or someone wouldíve felt with them. Not worried at all. Valle wouldnít win class 2 either the past few years or this one

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Wed, Aug 16, 2023, at 8:16 AM
  • Honestly, Valle could only win class 1 most years when they play little farming communities. Tbh. Sorry semo.

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Wed, Aug 16, 2023, at 8:19 AM
  • They only have 120 kids in their school, so they should be playing class 1 teams. The system is just a little stupid.

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Wed, Aug 16, 2023, at 6:28 PM
  • Itís a matter of opinion and I have nothing against Valle but there are many that would argue that a system that allows private schools to play against public schools is stupid.

  • Valle pulls from a class 3 sized school. Everyone knows all over the state itís not that simple Noel. Itís not as blatant recruitment or unfair advantage as KC and STL recruiting goes. But itís still there. Most little schools across the state has to get a lot of kids out who donít even want to play just to field a team. Itís not valleís fault, of course itís not. But itís just factual.

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Sat, Aug 19, 2023, at 10:10 AM
  • A majority of private schools who DO get advantages are why the rule is in place.

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Sat, Aug 19, 2023, at 10:11 AM
  • Every kid on the Valle roster was born and raised in Ste. Gen. I have lived in Ste. Gen. for 30 years and taught in the public school until I retired, then taught at Valle after and was the line coach at Valle for a few years. 120 kids with half of them girls, means the football program has about 60 boys to draw from each year. Versus a public school class 3 that has 4 times that. I coached football for 20 years along with coaching basketball for 40 years so understand the system.

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Sat, Aug 19, 2023, at 7:53 PM
  • They get ST Gen kids. Donít pretend they donít. People say they do from St Gen. thereís reasons they donít like Valle.

  • You need to do a little more research and check the names and you will see. But I can't convince someone that's already made up their mind.

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Sat, Aug 19, 2023, at 8:26 PM
  • Valle dosent belong in class 1 and 99% of Valle fans would agree.

-- Posted by caniplay on Sun, Aug 20, 2023, at 12:53 PM
  • Eh, for their sakes they should want to be in class 1. Class 2 and 3 are too big for them. At least if titles are the goal.

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Sun, Aug 20, 2023, at 1:26 PM
  • Would those be the 99% that have complained the last few years when they didn't win the State Title, all I heard around town and at the games was, if we were playing in class 1 where we belong right now we would be winning another title.

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Sun, Aug 20, 2023, at 5:47 PM
  • Yes Valle can beat 21 farmer kids in class 1. Hardly an accomplishment. Thatís where they belong. Playing towns that are entirely propped up by the farmers in town. Valle canít hang with class 2 or up. Thatís been part of my point this entire time. lol

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Mon, Aug 21, 2023, at 6:53 PM
  • Trimmer I thought you coached football at SG

-- Posted by caniplay on Tue, Aug 22, 2023, at 11:42 AM
  • I coached football at Valle.

-- Posted by noeltrimmer on Tue, Aug 22, 2023, at 8:22 PM
  • Going to be an interesting football

District this year with Valle, Scott City & New Madrid County Central

    -- Posted by 66Indian on Fri, Aug 25, 2023, at 8:40 AM
  • How about St Maryís in Class 5, district 1??

-- Posted by Sagamore on Fri, Aug 25, 2023, at 11:43 AM
  • New Madrid can handle Valle

-- Posted by $secretagentman daddy on Wed, Aug 30, 2023, at 8:23 AM
  • Somebody get this guy a Valle shirt!

-- Posted by caniplay on Thu, Aug 31, 2023, at 1:37 PM
  • Last time they played Valle scored more points than NMCC has in their last 4 matchups combined

-- Posted by cheapseats on Thu, Aug 31, 2023, at 3:40 PM
  • A little different NMCC team this year. Their line looks big!!!

    -- Posted by ealge97 on Thu, Aug 31, 2023, at 3:44 PM
  • @Snozzberry... It'll be St. Mary's to lose in Class 5 District 1. Cape gets rid of Jackson due to them joining Class 6 and then they add the powerhouse St. Mary's.... Good Luck CT!
