  • Does Oran/Advance have to go through Crossroads before they would play the winner from the southern district?

  • Man what happened to Billings did they lose 3 games last week

  • Yes, Crossroads is in District 4. Winners of D4 and D3 would play at Sectionals.

yeager I was wondering the same thing. Does anyone out there have any info on this? I didn't see his name in the players listed that scored.

  • From a reliable source he was disrespectful to a teacher so they made him sit out that game. Not sure if he will sit out more games, but i know he had to sit the chaffee game out.

  • Billings played in the Nixa Invitational Tournament over the weekend and lost all 3 games to KC Hogan Prep, Eugene, and Harrisonville. The tourney also had Nixa, Kickapoo, and Willard in it, so it was a pretty decent tourney for a class 2 school to get invited to.

  • It's funny how this year, all of the sudden, a kid from Scott Central is getting disciplined? Maybe there was more to what people were talking about last year after all?

  • Strength of schedule seems to be a big deal in regard to the whole north/south debate but I know for a fact Oran does not have by no means an easier road to Columbia than any team from the south.

  • Thats kind of what I was thinking Uncle. Didnt Oran play Crossroads last year to meet up with Hayti. what was the score of that game and whats your comparison.

-- Posted by BBfanatic on Tue, Jan 29, 2013, at 10:51 AM
  • Uncle.. So you think its just as hard to win district 3 as district 1?

-- Posted by BBfanatic on Tue, Jan 29, 2013, at 11:06 AM
  • Oran won by 5 I think last year and it was by no means their best game of the year, similiar to the Hayti game. They were living on a prayer at that point. Both teams have seemed to improve and Crossroads even has the better record so its hard to tell at this point. Oran had the edge on the inside game last year though.

And no, not at all but I think Crossroads presents a tougher sectional game for Oran than Thayer/Winona presents for the district 1 winner.

  • Probably right but that may be Puxico.

  • Told Ya'll about a month ago, I was told SCC is a flat mess, seems that situation isn't getting any better.
