  • I need help understanding district seedings.

Seckman 14-7 is seeded above Jackson 18-5.

Jackson, and Seckman will play each other on Monday. Since they haven't played each other there is no head to head meeting, and Jackson has the better record. What determines seeding?

  • I'm surprised Oak Ridge didnt get the 2 seed. Does anyone know who Bell city has?

So the Jackson/Seckman matchup Monday might as well be a jv game...why show your hand, right? If they decide on seeding over a week in advance, why schedule a district opponent after that?

I understand why they seed early(logistics such as transportation arrangements, early dismissals, etc.), but I'm trying to understand why a team would schedule a possible district opponent so close to playoffs?

As for the seeding,my opinion is that Jackson should be the 1 seed regardless of having 1 loss in district(Cape) while Seckman is 2-0 vs. district opponents....overall body of work argument-but I understand Seckman getting the #1 as well.
